JINAN, SHANDONG – August 25, 2025 – a global innovator in UHD video technology, today announced that its new flagship product - THEIA R2 multi-channel 4K/UHD recorder & player. As an officially certified Apple ProRes product, THEIA R2 is designed to be seamlessly integrated into professional ProRes workflows and offers maximum reliability and flexibility in operation.

THEIA R2 supports ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, ProRes 422 LT, and ProRes 422 profiles offer different bitrates and qualities in workflow with multi-channel input and output through multi-port storage interface at local and in remote with redundancy.
THEIA R2 supports multiple 2G-SDI input and output ports, HDMI input and output ports for video source, preview, playback, and passthrough. The H.264 based proxy in 1080 resolution can also be activated simultaneously when ProRes codec recording is in progress to facilitate operation of editing tools later. The configurable operation modes in THEIA R2 provide flexible setting for 4ch record, 4ch playback, or 2ch record + 2ch playback.
THEIA R2 offers selectable and redundant storage record including SATA SSD, SFP+ 10Gbps NAS, and USB-C ports with cross-disk, auto-segmentation, SSD + SSD, SSD + NAS, SSD + USB-C features. The segmented protection and fail-safe recording are supported in THEIA R2 with redundant dual power supplies for uninterrupted operation.

The integrated 8ch of analog and digital AES audio input and output ports can be selected for audio monitoring together with audio sources from SDI and HDMI in THEIA R2.
A 5.5” AMOLED touch panel, control buttons, shuttle, and USB device ports in THEIA R2 provides signal preview and local device management with network-based web graphic user interface for remote control. Multi-device monitoring and synchronization through RS422 and GPIO ports with VDCP and Sony protocol are also supported in THEIA R2. Liner Timecode (LTC) input and output for timing recording and tri-level reference input and output for device synchronization are available in THEIA R2.
Additionally, an AI accelerator-based module is reserved in THEIA R2 for automatic audio transcription, video index generation, video semantic search and more advanced AI functions over recorded video files.
