Project Overview

From May 14th to 16th, 2021, the "Embrace Happiness Chengdu" series of events, including the 2021 Chengdu Athletics Invitational, were held at the Chengdu Shuangliu Sports Center. Hosted by the Chengdu Universiade Executive Committee and co-organized by the Chinese Athletics Association, this event featured the integration of technologies such as 5G, 8K, and cloud computing. The Nxvi 8K Ultra HD Encoder T1 was utilized to capture the 8K video streams from multiple cameras on-site. Leveraging the high-speed 5G network provided by Sichuan Telecom, the live video feeds were transmitted in real-time to the Tianyi Cloud through an 8K broadcasting vehicle, and then distributed to viewers, marking the first nationwide 5G+8K multi-angle live broadcast of a sports event.
